Talk: Royal Hawaiian Featherwork

Christina Hellmich, curator in charge of the arts of Africa, Oceania, and the Americas and the Jolika Collection of New Guinea Art at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, speaks in conjunction with this special exhibition. Royal Hawaiian Featherwork features over 70 brilliantly colored 18th to 19th century cloaks, capes, leis, and headdresses painstakingly crafted from feathers of indigenous Hawaiian birds.
